Young learners group courses
I work with children from the age of 8 upwards. I put an emphasis on pronunciation, speaking, reading and playing games that encourage the kids to start to interact in the language. I enjoy playing games which helps me to connect well with younger students.

Levels - A0 - B1
These courses are designed to prepare a solid foundation for the student’s journey in learning English. There are various groups with levels ranging from absolute beginners (A0) to pre-intermediate (A2). Courses start in September after the Hondarribia Festival and finish at the end of June. Usually with one class a week of 1 hour or 1.5 hours.
At the end of the course I send a report on the student’s progress and test scores to parents.
Course Objectives
- Improve pronunciation and speaking confidence.
- Develop basic listening and speaking skills for everyday communication.
- Learn essential vocabulary and phrases for common situations.
- Understand and use basic grammatical structures.
- Build reading and writing skills through simple texts and exercises.
Teaching Methods
- Interactive Lessons: Engaging activities such as roleplays, card games, and interactive exercises.
- Multimedia Resources: I use audio, video, and online resources to enhance learning and listening skills.
- Regular Assessments: Quizzes, tests, and oral presentations to monitor progress and provide feedback.
Experienced Native Instructor
I have many years experience teaching young students. I try to create a playful ambience while helping the kids with correct pronunciation and moving on to basic grammar and expanding their vocabulary.
Course Materials
- Textbook: Beginner and elementary English textbooks, some tailored for Spanish speakers.
- Workbook: Practice exercises and short homework assignments to reinforce learning.
- Audio CDs/Online Resources: For listening exercises and pronunciation practice.
- Flashcards and Visual Aids: Vocabulary building tools to support memory retention.
Evaluation
- Continuous Assessment: I user egular quizzes, a little homework, and encourage active participation.
- Periodic Unit Exams: Tests covering each unit once they are completed.
- I send an end-of-course evaluation to parents in June to inform them of how their children did throughout the course.

Vocabulary books
I have compiled an elementary level vocabulary book which uses wordsearches and translation linking to help students learn new vocabulary in a more fun and enjoyable way. The book is available on Amazon in English-Basque and also in English-Spanish versions. Students can listen to and repeat the words from audio recordings included to help with pronunciation.
