Adolescent
learners
I work with many adolescents from ages 13/14 to 18. I use textbooks that mirror the requirements for the Cambridge B2 First exam as many adolescents are interested in this exam and some thereafter are also interested in the C1 Advanced test. I use games and start to reference series, movies and novels to inspire the student’s journey into culture in English.

Levels - Intermediate B1 - Proficiency C2
These courses will help Spanish-speaking students achieve a high level of English proficiency, enabling them to use the language confidently in academic, professional, and social contexts. Courses start in September after the Hondarribia Festival and finish at the end of June. Usually with one class a week of 1 hour or 1 and a half hours.
At the end of the course I send a report on the student’s progress and test scores to parents.
Course Objectives
- Develop an understanding of more complex English vocabulary and grammatical structures.
- Enhance proficiency in the four key language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Achieve some fluency and accuracy in both spoken and written English.
- Start students on the path for CEFR level exam preparation.
Teaching Methods
- Interactive Lessons: Engaging classroom activities including debates, presentations, and group work.
- Multimedia Resources: Use of films, podcasts, and online articles to enhance listening and comprehension skills.
- Regular Assessments: Continuous feedback through quizzes, tests, and oral presentations.
Evaluation
- Continuous Assessment: Regular quizzes, assignments, and participation.
- Practice Tests: Depending on the course level, regular CEFR practice tests are carried out to assess student’s readiness for Cambrdige exams.
