Younger students
ages 8 - 14
I work with children from the age of 8 upwards.
I encourage learners to read and improve their listening and pronunciation in English.
I put an emphasis on speaking, reading and playing games to try to inspire the kids to start to interact in the language. I enjoy playing games which helps me to connect well with younger students.
At the end of the course I send a report on the student's progress and test scores to parents.
Adolescents
ages 14 - 18
I work with many adolescents from ages 13/14 to 18. I use textbooks that mirror the requirements for the Cambridge B2 First exam as many adolescents are interested in this exam and some thereafter are also interested in the C1 Advanced test. I encourage speaking as much as possible while looking to improve grammar and vocabulary in tandem. We still use games and start to reference series, movies and novels to inspire the student's journey into culture in English.
At the end of the course I send a report on the student's progress and test scores to parents.
Adults
Age 18 +
Adult classes vary from those who wish to improve or maintain their English level through conversation classes which are very informal and relaxed and a lot of fun. Some groups have now become good friends from having attended the conversation classes over the years. Other adults prefer individual classes, often in the mornings, to start or continue their journey in English and expand their vocabulary and command of English grammar.
